As an additional benefit and convenience to our customers, DORC® has added the ability for you to download the latest version of our PMS software directly from this website. 

DORC® recently released version 2023 of the PMS software. This software version incorporates many new features and capabilities that are unmatched in the industry. Many of these new features are very processor intensive, such as the ability to electronically zoom in on most images - including live video. Although this version is extremely powerful and feature rich, it has become clear that there will be minimum computer hardware configurations that are capable of running this software. The absolute MINIMUM requirement is an i5 processor of 2.9GHz or greater, running Windows 10/11® Professional/Home (64bit) with 8GB of RAM. For best performance an i7 processor, Windows 10/11® Professional/Home (64bit) with 16GB of RAM, dedicated graphics, a Full HD (1920 x 1080) monitor and an SSD hard drive is highly recommended. Your PC must have at least one USB 3.0 “SuperSpeed” port.

If eligible, and your PC system meets these requirements you can download the upgrade now. If not, we can upgrade your computer to the latest configuration. To obtain details on computer upgrades please contact DORC® directly, or for international customers, contact your local representative. 

IMPORTANT: Close ALL programs, especially PMS before starting an upgrade! On XP Professional systems, you MUST be logged on as an ADMINISTRATOR before installing the software. Once the upgrade is complete, SHUT DOWN AND THEN PHYSICALLY PULL OUT THE POWER CORD ON BOTH THE COMPUTER AND THE ZX-1 BEFORE RESTARTING. This process will force the updated firmware to reload.

PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT:
Although ALL new systems ship with an image of the PC's hard drive, on older systems hard drive imaging using products like Macrium Reflect, Acronis True Image or Norton Ghost is a swift, reliable and inexpensive process these days. Taking this preventative measure BEFORE any upgrade, or just a a precaution when a system is running smoothly can save lots of time and money in the event of corruption or hard drive failure. This is especially true on older systems. Hard drives are by far the most common failure on a PC!!

ZX-1 Models: All ZX-1 micro PMS+, ZX-1 micro Array+, ZX-1 mini PMS, ZX-1 mini PMS+ or ZX-1 mini Array+.
PC: i5 Processor, SSD hard drive, 8Gb of RAM, Full HD (1920 x 1080)Display, USB 3.0 interface to ZX-1.
Windows: ONLY for Windows 10/11® Professional/Home (USA Version) 64bit Operating Systems with ALL available Updates and Service Packs installed. This version will NOT install on Windows XP® or Windows 7/8® Operating Systems!!

IMPORTANT: There is a significant correlation between computing power and overall measurement speed. Given the relatively low cost of PC's these days for best performance we recommend an i7 processor, Windows 10/10® Professional/Home (64bit), 16GB of RAM, dedicated graphics, a Full HD (1920 x 1080) monitor and an SSD hard drive for new installations. Your PC must have at least one USB 3.0 “SuperSpeed” port. To use the reporting functions of PMS, Microsoft Excel 2016 - 2021  (USA Version/32 bit) must be installed. This configuration is mandatory for ZX-1 micro Array+ HD systems.

Once the download is complete, and after you have obtained your PASSWORD, transfer the "Self Extracting Executable(s)" to the DORC® system controller, and double click on the primary .EXE file. The installation will then proceed automatically. 

All software downloads are encrypted and require a PASSWORD to be extracted. Please e-mail us at Password@dorc.com  to request the PASSWORD. Within the e-mail please include the following information:

a) Your name.
b) Your FULL company name, address and phone number.
c) For EACH system to be upgraded - the FULL serial number and current PMS software version, as listed in the "About" menu of the PMS software. 

Once we receive this information and verify eligibility, we will e-mail you the password within 24 hours. 

Free Upgrade Policy
DORC® offers unlimited FREE software upgrades to the original owner of the equipment, for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. After the initial year of free upgrades has expired, future upgrades are chargeable. The price varies depending on the difference between your current software version, and the most recent version available from DORC®. Contact DORC® or your local representative for pricing.
